"burping"

about a month ago i had an overheating problem till i changed my radiator, thermostat, elbo joint for thermostat housing, lower hose, and of course the coolant/antifreeze fluid. my temp guage still fluctuates but not as bad as it used. i remember seeing in a previous thread something about burping the system. how do i know if i need to burp it or not and if so how do i do it? if you need any more info just ask. thanx

Re: "burping"

Just run it for a while and keep it full. as the air pockets boil they will fill with steam and get mixed in with the coolant. If your problem persists, replace the temp sending unit, then the gauge in that order. If problem still persists ask yourself if you bought the cheap thermostat and why.
