!!! ABS & "Check Tire Press" Light On! HELP!!

Today, i was driving my car and both lights turned on out of nothing. I noticed that the power steering feels little harder. I sent my car to the mechanic shop and diagnose my car with OTC Tool but no codes were found. What can I do. I tried the ABS braking and the front wheels got locked, then i supoused that front ABS System doesn't work. Please help me !!!!!... I hate that lights on my dashboard.

Thanx

Re: !!! ABS & "Check Tire Press" Light On! HELP!!

This has happened to my wife's GTP...I disconnected the battery, removed the wheel sensor connectors and blew them out with compressed air. Plugged them back in and reconnected the battery.

Hope that is all it is with your car. Other's have reported that their wheel sensors have gone bad.

Also, there is a button to reset the Check Tire Press light under the dash on the drivers side. Since your ABS light is on too I don't think that will help, but can't hurt.

Good luck

Re: !!! ABS & "Check Tire Press" Light On! HELP!!

yeah it worked for me to, for about 2 months until i was 2400 miles away from home and my wheel bearing was humming that why mine came on, your about the mileage when they do go. check it out test it see if the wheel moves from top to bottom if you have play, its not good that your problem. (jack you car up to check it out FYI) if you need pics to do it yourself let me know i took about 30 pics while doing it to help people out on what to take off

Re: !!! ABS & "Check Tire Press" Light On! HELP!!

I have a '97 GTP and the abs and tire press. lights came on. Hooked it up to a scan tool and found that it was the hub assemblies. I replaced them both and now it's fine.Autozone sells the hub assys. for $123.99 each. I took the old ones apart and found a lot of water in them. This seems to be a very common problem. It's a pretty quick and easy fix though. Hope, that helps!
