i put my car on the machine and it said the pedal position sensor and my check engine light is on

I going to assume it's the Brake Pedal Position sensor since I don't have a code to go off of. It does just what it says, it lets the computers know the position of the brake pedal. Could also be the Accelerator Pedal Position sensor, does the same for the gas pedal...What make and model car? What was the ID # of the code?
