How To Reset Service Engine Soon ?

I have a 2002 envoy slt and have a problem resetting the service engine soon, this appeared when my fan clutch starts having a problem like reving to high even in low rpm. I tried to find the fault or reset it with my OBD II but dont show no result it only hangs up or just freeze. Please help, if possible I want to fix it myself coz I'm saving money .....

Re: How To Reset Service Engine Soon ?

I'm no help if the prob is with the scanner. I take it you replaced the f/c? Depending on which version of the f/c you swapped in, you may need to re-flash the PCM. The GM part # for the newer ver f/c starts with 152xxxxx. Good luck.

I Have To Replace The Fan Clutch First Then Re-flush The Pcm, By The Way What Do You Mean Re-flush? Is It An Scanner That Deletes The Faults?

Some of those cheapo OBD scanners do just that...scan. They won't let you erase saved codes.

Re: How To Reset Service Engine Soon ?

just been to auto zone today and let them scanned and found out the code which is PO495 but this code does not show in their computer so I've got to drive back home and look at this code and found out its says COOLING FAN SPEED HIGH. The fan clutch at auto zone cost $199.99 + tax and its a lifetime guarantee. Thanks a lot for the help and I'll let you know if its fix
