Tamiya SLK finished/revisited-for a third time.
Built it OOB back when it came out, I did some computer generated MB logo decals for the seats and door panels. Painted it Boyd's orange pearl. I hated the tiny stock rims w/oversized tires, so I put Pegasus chrome 3 spoke rims on it. I never really liked them either, too bling. The three-pointed star was the idea...but ultimately looked cheesy.
I just put on a set of Fujimi 18" Ruf rims, modified to fit modified XS Tuning brakes so that it could sit properly and not like an SUV. Reasonable success, looks a lot better. I'm really impressed how well the top fits, it looks molded in place when installed. The Fujimi SLK pales greatly by comparison. I'd have bought/built their AMG SLK if it weren't such a steaming pile of Former appearance:

Your build looks better them mine. I built this and was not happy with the 4 x 4 look. The wheels were bad, I should have changed mine for something better..
Looks a nice colour. |

Hey, that looks ten or thousand times better then before!
still, the interior is a bit nauseating, it looks like it's a car for some old rich fart with alzheimer that needs to be reminded constantly which car he took out of the garage that morning to go and buy... oh damnit, he forgot it... Hey, just kidding! Oli edit: means, keep the roof ON! |
