05 Toyota 4runner vs. 05Honda Pilot vs. 05 Mercury Mountaineer

Welp me and my mom have decided its time to trade in our 2000 mazda mpv for a new SUV.
We narrowed it down to these choices in the topic title.
Shes more interested in the Merc Mountaineer, but I like the 4runner.
The honda pilot i just looked up today and caught my attention.
So people, which one would you choose, and why.
Pricing, accesories, reliability?
Here are some things we need:
roomy
safety
price
gas mileage
some style(not too stylish)
thnk for any replies

I would get the 4Runner. Yeah I go with toyota everytime but, the 4runner is nice. It has a 245hpv6, they move pretty well. I think they look nice. They ride a lot better then the last gen. They start at around 27, but even the base model has 245hp and enough features. The honda pilot costs like 32 if im not mistaken? Its a typical honda IMO. It is all around nice, nothing really bad about the thing....I would totaly eliminate the murc from this conparo. The frame it rides on is very old. I rented a explorer once, it got worse gas milage then my 91 surburban (And felt slower) Overall I would take the toyota, It does everything well with a little style, little pep, and looks by far the best IMO OH and this belongs in car comparos

Re: 05 Toyota 4runner vs. 05Honda Pilot vs. 05 Mercury Mountaineer

Honda are known for their reliability, so are toyotas...mercurys are not. My cousin has had a 4runner for a few years and loves it. I'd say test drive the honda and the toyota and see which suits you best.
I personally despise mercurys...I work(ed) at a dealership, and had a BRAND new mercury's brakes fail on me last summer. I ended up in a 12ft deep drainage ditch after jumping a curb and getting the car completely airborne...one of the scariest moments of my life...needless to say, I will never be recommending a Mercury. So take that for what it's worth...just my .02

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

wow... i was gonna say the murcury bcas i like it... but i guess reliability wise you should go with the 4runner.. i know quite a few ppl who own them, and have owned them for atleat 5-6 yrs. im not rele a fan of the pilot but i have no reasone not to be... so my vote is the 4runner.

Re: 05 Toyota 4runner vs. 05Honda Pilot vs. 05 Mercury Mountaineer

why not include the 05 nissan pathfinder?
270hp
same price range as the 4runner
check it out. i've heard nothing but good things about it, and after test driving it myself, i was very impressed.

but out of those 3, i would also choose 4runner.
