95 Sub door handle assembly removal
Does anyone know the trick of removing the interior door handle assembly? I already have the door panel off. I see a possible rivet that may need to be drilled out and some screws on a backing panel, but it's not clear to me yet.
Thanks Jim |

Remove the interior door assmebly first
Steve (aka " truckguy100@hotmail.com" ) sent me the following information. His web site has a great installation guide that answered my questions.
Thanks Steve ___________________________________________ Hi James, Normally there are about 12 sheet metal screws holding the metal panel on the door assy. I doubt there are any rivets that need to be removed. Go to our website at <http://www.jimmijammer.com> and go to the support tab. From there, choose your vehicle from the drop down list. You will find a picture tutorial done on a 95 silverado, which has the same exact door. Pay special attention to the part about the little tabs at the bottom of the door panel that hold the panel on the door once the screws are removed. If this doesn't help, let me know. You can either email me, or call our tech support line at 480-812-1600. Normally the rivets just hold components on the metal panel. Let me know what you find. Good luck. Steve |
