After the Frontera was dropped from Opel/Vauxhall's(and probably Holden marketed too) line-ups in late2003, it has left a major gap but help is at hand. In 2006 Chevrolet Europe will be releasing the S3X which will rival the likes of the Land Rover Freelander and Nissan X-Trail, this has been confirmed to be the basis for the next Frontera. The next Frontera will share all the S3X's major components and basic body structure but will slot above it, as its classier sister car. To be powered with a range of TWINPORT petrol engines and high-tech diesels the new Frontera is also set to steal off-roading honours too, with use of a high-tech new AWD system. The new Frontera is also too improve on its predessors dyer reliability record, thanks to sound engineering by Daewoo before the project became Chevvy. The new Frontera should be here by late 2006 and will feature similar styling cues to the forthcoming Zafira.
Fingers-crossed its better than the last generation.
The Chevrolet S3X Concept will provide base for next Frontera.
