I have no heat and its 20 below zero
I started my car this morning and when I turned on the heat, nothing happened. None of my air controls work. It worked fine yesterday, but now it does nothing. Any ideas or suggestions????
Thanks |

sounds like either a lose wire, or the blower has stopped working....-20? where are you at?

Check the 30 amp blower fuse and 20 amp wiper fuse under the dash.

Re: I have no heat and its 20 below zero
I live in Marquette. Mine did that about a month ago when we were -20. I had ice in my switch. I beat on the switch to get it to work but went ahead and replaced it. $10 part.

How do you get them started when it is that cold? Do you have a block heater installed? Or does just keeping it in a garage that allows it to be started at such a cold temperature. I live in NW Arkansas and it never gets even close to that low a temperature here. We only see snow here about once a year.

Re: I have no heat and its 20 below zero
I think that there is a blower relay in the fuse box in the engine compartment. usually there are some others like it, so swap another in and see if the blower works, then you'll know if that's the prob.

Is your radiator fan running all the time? I had a simular problem which the cause was the ccu. I had to disassemble it and resolder a connection.

Re: I have no heat and its 20 below zero
Yes I figured it out. The wire harness connecting to the blower motor under the dash on the passengers size was loose. I just pushed it in a little and it worked. My problem now is that when I took the radio and climate control insert out of the dash I broke the plastic piece that holds the temperature control nob to the insert. So now I can't get the nob to stay on. So If anyone knows where I could find a replacement I would greatly appreicate any help.
Thank you everyone for your help. p.s. It is finally warming up. No more 20 below. |
