1982 Gas Rabbit Problem
I just bought a 1982 Gas Volkswagen Rabbit and I am having an issue with it. It runs fine with the outlet side of the fuel filter is just finger tight just so there is gas dripping from it. When I tighten it all the way it dies and wont start again untill i loosen the fitting again. It is flooding with it tight. Spark plugs get soaked with gas. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: 1982 Gas Rabbit Problem
sounds like fuel dizzy... when the line is loose it is reducing fuel pressure, thus causing your car to run. when its tight, the fuel pressure is where it should be, but because your fuel distributor is worn out you are getting too much fuel. you can find rebuild kits online as well as new distributors. hope this helps!!!
