Re: Who has a contract with Sport Compact Pro?

In all honesty I wouldn't sign the papers and try to get your money back. It isn't worth it. My parts normally cost out the ass and even with this so-called 'sponsorship' where one can get 55% off of the cost of parts (which they take the highest part cost and deduct it off that)... I can find parts much cheaper on the net.

I agree, ive been reluctant to sign for awhile now and not sure. I really have to talk to them and find out what the whole deal is and everything. Another thing I agree with is that the fact of that charity not showing up online means nothing. Not everything has to have a website.

Re: Who has a contract with Sport Compact Pro?

That's true, not everything has a website. But if this charity truly existed, even locally for SCP there would still be something listed for it. A news article or even a phone number and address from the online phonebooks. Another thing... it seems as though people are wanting more info to make sure this sponsorship deal is legit. Phone calls have been made, parts and orders have been exchanged.... yet on other threads I have been reading NO ONE seems to be getting a final confirmation of information in any respect. Anyone else find that kind of fishy or is it just my overactive paranoia kicking in?

Re: Who has a contract with Sport Compact Pro?

SCP called me up asking me if i wanted to get sponsor. didn't make sence cause i didn't pay the money when i fill out the application. so when they call i gave them my credit card #. i hope this is real but i don't think i'm gonna risk it so i'm gonna give them a call to let them know that i'm not intrested cause once you signed that contract, SCP owneds you.

Re: Who has a contract with Sport Compact Pro?

It isn't that SCP 0wnz joo, but if you do sign the contract then basically you are getting a discount through them on overpriced parts that they are getting for free. If you don't sign the contract then you are out the $79 fee unless you file a fraud complaint with your bank, which I did. But on the flipside, the bank sent me a letter today stating if they find the transaction to be authorized they will then re-take the $79 back and I'll be SOL. Bottom line is either way I'm fucked.

Re: Who has a contract with Sport Compact Pro?

I'm still on the fence about signing it. Not sure if I want to...not in a huge hurry to, either...not like there's a dead line. I called them and talked to some guy there a week or two ago and the questions I asked got the answers I wanted. I asked if we have to pay the whole price for the parts, then get reimbursed later, or if the percentage is taken off from the beginning and he said it's taken off from the begininng. That is good. Another thing I forgot to ask him was, what happens if I need out of the contract...if I need to sell my car or can't do it any more or whatever? What happens to the parts then?

If the charity thing bugs you guys so much, call them and ask for a phone number or website to go to regarding the charity...

Re: Who has a contract with Sport Compact Pro?

Perhaps we should make this a sticky. This is a pretty good reference that most of us will research on later in the future. Keep me up to date guys, I'm kinda staying away from it now, I still couldn't find anything online about Sport Compact Pro. It's as if they were made up yesterday.

Re: Who has a contract with Sport Compact Pro?

i to have to contract sitting in my room trying to decide whether i want to sign it or not. i mean it sounds really good on paper but they way everyone makes it sound the 55% we get off doesnt really work out dince they have th prices so high before u get the discount im not to sure about all of iti dont see how it is a fraud though because it has to much publicity around it to be a scam

Re: Re: Who has a contract with Sport Compact Pro?

What publicity has it gotten? Besides this thread, a website that signs you up for the contract without telling you anything about the company and a full color ad in an imports magazine.

I think that was referring to this thread.

Scp

I know that I'm not a Z series car, But it does have a Z-11A chassis ;-p
(3000GT)
I hope you dont mind me posting in on your thread.

We'll Ive got the contract beside me signed already i was just looking up somethings on it b4 i sent it back and other than the site i signed up on this is all ive been able to find, I've sat through and read all 4 pages this thread has amounted.
Here's what i've gathered on it. My guess is that SCP is more than likely a new parts company, that wants to make an impression on the import scene, and become a name as big as NOPI, or HIN's but if no one knows of your product company how do you go about getting tuners, and their peers to start using your gear.....Give out sponsor ships !!
they use them and as they grow to trust them, so do their friends.

as far as the part about a full sponsorship.... because the only know your plans and the potential in you, and your car they can only give you a partial sponsorship, and see what they do with it. at renewal if youve seen that "hey this , guy/girl has grabbed this and completely taken off !!!" then yea.
my guess is if your looking for a complete sponsorship its going to be at renewal time.

They only want the best for you, when you look good they look good.
as far as the $80 they already have it, I gave it to them to give me a chance. ( and they even gave you a loop hole to get it back at tax time)

Own!?! they dont really OWN you, you just have to do 4 shows in a year and you can knock that out in a Spring Break weekend ( you know that's Hott!!)

I've always wanted to attend these shows, and this is just the Kick in the pants i needed to do it.

I would have probably blown the $80 on something stupid anyway
