Size's of speakers in the 2000 323i????
Does anyone know all the sizes of the speakers including tweaters in the doors. The factory speakers suck bad, I just want to change them out, thanks.

the problem with the BMW sound system
I have a 2001 325i with a custom audio system. In the front
you can fit 5.25" mids and probably up to 1" tweets. But the BMW amp is replaced with an aftermarket amp (a/d/s). The problem is that the BMW amp is wired and crossed-over specifically for the speakers that are currently in the doors. If you simply take out the current speakers and replace them, they may not be getting the right frequencies and will sound like shit. Also, the current speakers may have a custom impedance (rather than the standard automotive 4 Ohms). My advice is take it to a decent car stereo place, tell them you only want to replace the fronts, and see what they tell you. |

go to Rich's Car Tunes
Just realized you live in Boston.
Go to Rich's Cartunes in Watertown. They are one of the best installers in the world and have done hundreds of BMWs, including mine. www.richscartunes.com |
