td4
I recently purchased a td4 freelander which was involved in a minor rollover (offroad) it had only done 15000 kms but no 2&3 injectors have the tips burnt totally away as well as damage to the needles . Damage is so bad that common fuel rail pressure is forced into the cylinders giving hydraulic lock without any power to the injectors .I am not very familiar with diesels ,so could someone please explain how this damage to the injector tips is possible in such a low mileage engine which must have been running when mishap occured,ie is it a common fault or could it somehow be related to the rollover ie water could have been introduced to the system by water trap being inverted ,your comments would be appreciated

Try some of the "Freelander Only" web sites such as freelanderliving.com and freelanderowners.com. They may be able to help you with your diesel engine Freelander.
