Auto trans shift problem. (Help!)

This is a follow-up post. I'm desperate for some help on this one.

My 89 S-10 Blazer, 4.3L, auto trans, 4wd, 114k miles, is shifting improperly. I removed the transfer case a few months ago to repair leaking case and output shaft seal. Everything came apart and went back together fine, but now it has a hard/delayed shift from 1st-2nd @20 mph, and then won't shift from 2nd-3rd, 3rd-4th. (Once it shifts into 2nd, it acts like it's in neutral, with engine just revving as I press the gas and no gear take-up.) Reverse does work fine, as does shifting into/out of the 4wd ranges. I've done the following recommended things:
1. Replaced tranny fluid & filter, replaced transfer case fluid, and checked for proper fluid levels.
2. Replaced transfer case switch. (No change after new one put in.)
3. Checked 4wd vacuum modulator. (Appears to be working ok.)
4. Checked vacuum hoses to transfer case. (No apparent leaks found.)
5. Attempted to adjust TV cable. (Unsure if my adjustment worked, however.)

Is there anything else that could be causing this? The tranny and transfer case both worked perfectly before I removed the transfer case. Is the problem exclusively the transfer case or could it be the tranny? What about the TV cable?

Heavy snow's coming my way and I need my 4wd!

Thanks again.
