Curious observation and this isnt meant to insult anyone, but nearly all of the people supporting hunting are American and nearly all of the people against it, arent, as i dont support hunting either. Its probably just a culture difference.

and for the record, im soooo with Nesryn and BB1970.... CLUBBING KICKS ASS!!!!!

I've met many hunters from Canada as well as from Russia.

one shot to the neck with a 7mm magnum is a pretty quick death. and i still ask whats the difference between the slaughter house and a hunter?

Hunting has nothing to do with being American or non-American, has anyone heard of the Safari Club, it is a world wide association for large, small, exotic and rare hunting. Anywhere from deer and elk to lions and tigers, game hen to ostrich. Poeple in the 'club' are from all around the world, New Zealand, So. Africa, Russia and so on. I am not fond of those who shoot exotics , even if it is legal.
Poeple are going to do what they do, whether it is legal or not.

I guess my point was, hunting has nothing to do with being American or non-American.
I myself love a nice new york or t-bone steak (medium rare), but I couldn't see myself hunting for my dinner. *remembers how dependant she is on superarkets*

lol. i never said that it was only Americans that hunt. i never meant that at all. all i said was that the only people on this particular board at that particular moment that had been Americans and the people that had opposed it had been from other countries. i know that hunting is huge in Africa and other places including Canada but my point was that the people that had voiced their opinion in favour of hunting had been American, males at that. the people that had voiced their voice in opposition for hunting were either non-American or American female(not sure on 3kgt8 though) im not saying that it is ONLY American males that hunt but they are the ones that had voiced their opinion in favour of it and i merely mentioned thats what i had noticed.

As to young vr4s comment "one shot to the neck with a 7mm magnum is a pretty quick death" yes it is a quick death. Has everyone managed to kill every single animal they have ever hunted like that? (rhetorical question, dont answer) In an abattoir an animal gets its neck slit every time thus ensuring a quick death everytime. what i was saying is that not everytime an animal gets shot it dies a quick death. Sometimes it is a quick death but sometimes it is long and traumatic death.

But as IBkitty said, i love a T-bone steak but i dont want to hunt it myself. personal preference.

my post was not designed to attack anyone.

Hey Nesryn, I guarentee you wont think bears are so cute when one wanders into your backyard and chases your dog around. Actually it wasn't as bad as it sounds, it was a black bear that had ended up in my Aunt's backyard in NY, the dog just wanted to make a new friend, but apparently the bear was anti-social. *No animals were harmed in the making of this story

What satisfaction is there?!? The satisfaction of being a testosterone-endowed man. The knowledge that you killed something. And then ate it. And told the story of how you killed it to your friends, and shared the meat. The knowledge that your prowess with tools makes you the top of the food chain for the entire world, baby. Meat is good. Plants are good, too. But meat is where it's at. Meat is satisfaction.

Warm here, but windy as hell. You guys are lucky with your short hair, you don't have it blowing around in your face when it gets windy...
