Wheel Bearing

Lately I have been getting a loud humming from my rear right side. I have had older cars with wheel bearings gone and they sounded the same. I have also replaced wheel bearing on other models easily. I took the wheel/hub off today and instead of a cotter pin removal and popping out the bearing it looked much different, and had a white plastic washer on it that made it look as though it was not to come out. Has anyone replaced one on a 97 Breeze before. Is there much trouble or something I should know? Also I have notice and rubber type of burning smell form the same wheel after driving. Could it be a brake problem and not a bearing? Any help appreciated.

The wheel bearing is part of the hub assembly wich is bolt on. I have the same problem with my 98 breeze. I was wondering if anyone knew the axle nut torque specs?
