I think this lady is getting the complete opposite of a response that she had in mind, but I don't blame you guys though. Good lookin' blonde girl working on a Blazer; the very auto in which this Forum revolves around!
Sorry LT, I think I'm losing my composure. (just my )

Re: Hey, I fixed it. Linkage that is.((56K beware))
There was a girl in our auto shop back when I was in high school. Only one and she was great - even came in handy sticking her lil hands in where our big meathooks couldn't fit!!!

Thanx to all yall<<<Tryin out new accent. lol. So brought my Blazer to get inspected Yesterday. Passed everything. Except emissions. Because I disconnected my battery recently to install an amp for my subwoofer. This cuased the computer info to clear. so there was no emissions reading. I swear to god thats what he said. I was stupified. Now he said to put 50-100 miles on her and bring'er back and the cpu should be reset with new info. And I get to pay an extra $11 on top of the $21 I already spent whooo hoo! heres the print out from DMV.

Hey another NY'er! What part of the state are you in?
A pain - yes, but also very true. The state is even running radio comercials about getting any work done your vehicle several days before an inspection so the computer relearns the emissions. People used to be able to clear their SES lights by disconnecting the battery and pass the inspection - not anymore!!

So what did it cost for the parts and where did you get them? Notice anything new about the steering or the "clunk"???

Well good luck with the drive and passing emissions. I think I may go purchase all the stuff you did and do it on my lunch break! Thanks for the great pics!

I just had mine done last month and a young girl was there trying to pay the guy off but he wouldn't budge. I can't blame him - not worth losing his job or worse.

Go to a different shop.
Plus, it takes about 200-300 miles for the OBDII computer to relearn everything. And no, you don't have to start and stop your engine like that for it to learn. Your mechanic guys are friggin morons.

Would this disconnecting of the battery thing have the same effect on a 2000 Blazer? Shouldn't there be a smaller battery that allows the CPU to member that stuff; Like on a Desktop?
*Sofa-King... haha. The first time I heard that, my brother told me to cover my face and say "I'm Sofa King We Taw Did"

Re: Hey, I fixed it. Linkage that is.((56K beware))
In South Carolina we don't even have an inspection anymore . But the cops use a light out as an excuse to pull you for seatbelt violation . We don't have the high population and smog . You Yanks got more people in the Big Apple than we have in the whole state . Girlbear , I think the shop just wants you to keep coming around to see them. I would !
