well i started the sanding process, to prepare it for paint. i guess i am turning this into a project car. ehh....oh well. my grandpa has a spare paint gun and i have a sander. so all i got to do is buy paint and masking tape. we will see how it goes. this ought to be fun.

after so much sitting...it still runs like a champ. need a whole new exhaust put on but otherwise its great. im excited.

no i need an exhaust. see the stock exhaust is still there from 1986 and there are a few holes in it and i smell rotten eggs when i let it get warm so i need a new cat also. oh well...im going muffler and cat shopping next weekend. yah...

Well, I had the 240SX listed in the sig so I figured I should have a picture of it in there too, and I think the Z looks damn good in this picture, long, low and sleek.

Anyway, K3, you going to try and get a performance set up or just some stock pieces? Frankly, it might be alot easier and maybe even cheaper to buy a generic or even cheap high flow cat and muffler and have a shop make you up a custom job. Welding some pipes together doesn't, or atleast shouldn't, cost that much.

As far as im conserd you all have very very nice cars I love nissans and the only pos to me is something like a 1986 chrysler le bar lol. You cant say a Z car is ugly cause then ur obvious 1 of the above retarded, going blind or just plain stupid. Ask for me unfortunatly im gonna hve to settle with a 94 jdm RX& 280 @ thw heels aint bad. Also if you guys like nissans my bro has an 97 r33 gtr V spec I. Broke: yeah im taking it to a shop as soon as i get my k&n air filter. im gonna get a generic high flow cat and a maybe a flowmaster or generic muffler. we will see. stock piece are always so expensive.

yeah man, stock is not worth it at all... i got mine done at a muffler shop and the midpipe back cost me $250 canadian... so that's like.... $1.20 us... but definitely go 2.5 if it's at not too much extra cost... and try and not put a cat in there, unless you want to go high flow... but that's $$$.. maybe just bang a few pieces of metal together to make it look like a cat

lol...i might just punch out the cat i have... and then just run new piping. we will see when the time comes.

that is our emission checks here in illinois. if the cop feels it is too loud he can crawl under your car and check for cats. but we dont have such things as emission checks before you can get it registered and what not. this brings about a funny story.

i was cruising along at about 2200 RPMS in my z32 and i just have a catback but at 2000 RPM's ish it is like bellowing loud. just echoes off of everything. well i drove past a cop doing about 45 in a 40 and my exhuats is just bellowing off of building and what not. well he pulls me over and he tries to crawl underneath my car to check for cats. and i told that the cats were still stock but he didnt believe me. well, he made me pull out my spare jack and jack it up so he could see. well...he felt like a real dumbass after that. then he tried saying that i have my car lowered to the ground. i said, its a stock heigth. well he got a tape measure out to see if my headlights were high enough off the ground. he felt stupid once again. well after all that, he ended up writing my a warning for doing 5 mph over. WHAT A DICK...but it was pretty funny i must say. he seemed not to know a lick about cars. rednecks in illinois..ill tell you what.

dont we all....but it just so happens that i have alot of them around here. oh well...not too big of a city so i have quite a few connections especially in the police department. half the police department raced remote control cars and so did i before i got a liscence and i stilll go every once in a while. but yeah...i became friends with a lot of people. so it all works out. i dont get half as many tickets as i probably deserve.
