67 Ponti Bonneville Tune Up

I would like to ask for a good estimate for a full tune up on a 67 Ponti Bonneville? Also, what does a tune up involve? I'm sure they're different considering year and engine types. Thanks for your help.

Re: 67 Ponti Bonneville Tune Up

The price of a tune up changes too much to quote anyone but a good tune up should be about 3 or 4 hours on that car. Most mechanics will just replace the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor and call it good. You should also have the carb tuned, check points and adjust for dwell angle, fuel filter, air filter, pcv valve serviced or replaced, etc. The best way to make sure you are getting good service on a older or classic car is to ask about the dwell angle. If they look at you like you have 3 heads then thats not the shop you want.
