What exactly is happening? Is it that you can't gat any gas into the tank, or is it that you can put gas in, but you can't get it to be completely full?

Also what year is your van, and which tank do you have (22 gal. or 35 gal)?

Re: Help can't fill tank

It is that I can't put fuel in the tank, when I am at the gas station pump and try to fill the tank. The pump handel keeps kicking off. I can only put the gas in a penny at a time. It did't do that before I put the new fuel pump in the gas tank.

Re: Help can't fill tank

Have you checked for any obstructions in the filler neck of the tank, or possibly even a bend or a kink in the filler neck that you might have caused while dropping the tank? Or any misalignment that might cause backpressure in the filler nossle that would cause it to clik off?

The bottom of the tank? I think that might be your problem. If the tube goes into the bottom of the tank, the tube will fill up way before you ever get any gas into the tank.

The filler tube should be at the top of the tank. Fill from the top, draw from the bottom.

I think you need to revisit your installation.
