Pics of my new VY SS ute :)

This is my new VY SS Automatic Ute. Was bought as a daily driver to replace my Nissan X-Trail GT, which was sold a few weeks ago

Current modifications are a dual 2.5" exhaust with 4-1 extractors, dual 2.5" metal biscuit catalytic converters and a set of 19"x8.5" DTM Mesh wheels.

Waiting until March to fit a Harrop HH122 intercooled supercharger kit for 600+Hp@wheels. Should be fun to drive once I have it all sorted

Re: Pics of my new VY SS ute :)

I can pull away from a brand new HSV VE Clubsport, most stock utes are very slow and can only manage a 14 second ¼ mile. The VR V8 is listed as a 15.7 so you must have a fair few mods done.

Re: Pics of my new VY SS ute :)

This is the kit I am fitting, low mount turbos and I intend on having the intercooler to throttle body piping go through the stock airbox so it looks factory. With the turbos mounted so low, it should make it look completely standard

Re: Pics of my new VY SS ute :)

keepin it lookin standard shouldnt have to many hassels
fromm the cops then stiken with the original front bar or ar you
gettin a custom one built to suit the flow for the intercooler?

Re: Pics of my new VY SS ute :)

Yeah, keep it looking stock and I should get away with it as the Corvette engine covers I have now seem to block most of the view down the side of the motor so they cannot see the turbos.

Stock front bumper can be used, as the intercooler is designed to fit within the stock opening for maximum airflow. I got an x-force dual 3" stainless steel exhaust ready to fit, with a new set of 20" SSW Omega rims and 245/35R20 + 265/30R20 tyres to help with traction.

6.5l/100km's with an average speed of 92.4Km/h... not bad for so called fuel guzzling V8

either ur wagon is modified extremely or the ute was a 6 cause there is no way that if both cars were basicly standard that the wagon would beat the ute. i've seen 355 strokers struggle to keep up with ls1s
