M50 Engine Conversion
I NEED SOME ADVICE REGARDING AN ENGINE CONVERSION/ MODIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR MY 1991 BMW 525I E34 M50, 4DR SEDAN W/AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - DME 3.1.
I REPLACED THE ENGINE WITH A 6 CYL DOC M50 OUT OF A 1993 325I COUPE, E36 WITH VANOS. I ALSO HAVE REPLACED WIRING HARNESS AND DME OF SAME. (3.3.1) ARE THERE ANY OTHER MODIFICATIONS THAT I SHOULD BE AWARE OF? ALSO, NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH ON MY 525I HAS AN 8 PIN CONNECTOR AND THE NEW 3.3.1 CONNECTOR IS 12 PIN--SHOULD I MAKE AN ADAPTOR OR IS THERE AN ALTERNATIVE SOLUTION?? THIS IS MY 2ND BMW AND THERE IS NO OTHER, BUT THIS CONVERSION HAS BEEN CHALLENGING…I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP! STEVE |
