Low end flutter (1800rpm) Infiniti J30 (3.0l nissan)

Infiniti J30

I have a low end flutter taking place much like a misfire around 1800 rpm during cruise in high gear (40 mph) also at low idle in gear around 800 rpm. This doesnt tak place while acceleration or deceleration. I checked all of the plugs for a potential misfire and came up with nothing. It occured yesterday, since then i filled up with new gas and threw some dry gas in the tank due to possible condensation.

Infiniti wants 110/hr just to look at it, Im wondering if it is a sensor???

i would agree with your initial guess of a sensor problem but without testing and some diagnosis i dont know. those motors did tend to have fuel injector issues, but it doesnt sound like its even all that noticeable, and unless it gets worse i would guess its not an injector problem. could be oxygen sensor, MAFS, IATS, cam position sensor, or even a simple tune up/fuel filter.

hmmm good guess i totally missed that. oh and just to let you know, your car is also a nissan maxima so if the nissan dealer is cheaper dont bother with the infiniti dealer. that is if you decide to get it looked at.
