Stereo problems
Hi all,
I'm having problems with my stereo in my '94 J30. For the past few months the sound would go in and out and there would be a pop. Now these is no sound at all. The display still works. Anyone have any idea what the problem is and what needs to be fixed? Less |

I had a 93 J30. It has exactly same problem since the first COLD day in Texas. The CD run, FM/AM Ant work, display is good but NO AUDIO! I have open the dash panel try to locate the Switching Relay that send voltage to all speaker AMPs. But I find out the Relay is fine by proble the voltage plug in the rear speaker plug. The pre-amp of the 93-4 unit has a bad reputation of cold soldering problem from a local audio store. So you may have to either re-soldering the board or send to a shop to repair. My local store will charge $60, and there is a lot of store(search from forum) will charge from $100 to $200. I can send more URL for repair shop if you can't find.

CD Player.......
hmmmmmmmm... my speakers tore... so i opened it up and saw that the glue of the center came off so im going to try to glue it bak together and see if it sounds ryte.
Also, my main problem right now is the Car Stereo, specifically the CD player. Everything else works fine, but the CD player doesn't work 90% of the time. It won't play any burnt CD's and it only plays original CDs when it is not cold outside..... I'm really annoyed of this problem and having to listen to the radio all the time.... So if any of u guyz can help me out and suggest some ideas where i can fix or replace the stereo, that'b great.... thanks! PLZ HELP |

Re: Stereo problems
http://infinitihelp.com/Store/CDSpecial.htm
or try Ebay to see if price is cheaper. You can also buy FM-Mod CD changer from any Bestbuy or CC. but you have turn on the FM to receive the signal from CD changer. I have never installed a cd-changer before. but it should be too difficult. I want buy a MP3 player instead. good luck! |

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=50556 YOu have to make sure the connector is fit with your Infiniti car. ask the seller about spec of unit, but it is much cheaper for $130 |
