03 3.2 CL tranny problems
i found a really nice 03 3.2 cl with only 20k miles on it. But i've been reading a lot of bad things about the transmission. Particularly for the 01 and 02 models, some people go into 4 or 5 transmissions. How is it for the 03 model? Because i want to keep the car for several years, so I want to have a reliable car. what do you think??
also i don't know if this was one of the older model CL, the original owner bought it at the end of june of 2003, the vin # starts like this...19UYA4 |

Well, you'll have factory warranty until 100K so don't worry about the tranny. I just got a new "update" tranny for my CL and it drives a lot better.

Re: 03 3.2 CL tranny problems
i just called acura and that 03 model doesn't have the 100k mile warranty
only a few of the 03 models were selected for that warranty. Could it be that that particular model could be a later model and may have gotten some stuff fixed so that it doesn't need the 7 year warranty? |

lol, you can never be sure with acura.
A guy just got his tranny "updated" at the acura dealership (recall) and the car didn't make it out of their parking lot. If it doesn't have the 100K warranty, find one that does or get a 6 speed. |

Re: 03 3.2 CL tranny problems
what do you mean it didn't make it out of their parking lot? do you mean to say that it just broke down right after they fixed it?

yeah, mine started slipping and I took it in, they replaced the whole tranny with an "updated" one. It shifts a lot smoother, better than ever before.
