Re: Good way to get more torque

Buy a nissan. Other than that there is going to be no way to make the rsx have gobs of torque, it is just not what honda does. Even their highest end race cars make all of their power way up high. If stop light racing is your thing dont plan to pull on me, but on the highway it would be a fun race.

Re: Good way to get more torque

Indeed a 2-DOOR accord v-6 can keep up fairly well with me on the highway but from a stop I pull on him and I think that accord isn't stock. Either way, I am not saying I am all that fast just that nissan does low end and honda does high end. Apples.....Oranges

Re: Good way to get more torque

Hey Max driver what mods have you done to your Maxima? You have the best generation Max 255hp and a 6spd to boot. The next gen the French got a hold of their design and it went to crap. Have you gotten an aftermarket Y pipe, exhaust, chip or CAI? I know there aren't a lot of mods for that car other than what I mentioned and a Stillen S/C. On the highway you would probably beat the Accord even if the limiter has been taken off. I think stock the 03 Accords speed limiter is like 125mph but the close gear ratio set up makes it pretty quick from a stop.

Re: Good way to get more torque

That maxima is stock, except the dumbass who owned it before him cut the springs to lower it, and it has neons on it. Which no longer work because going down teh highway a barrel fell off of a truck and hit the front of his car, shattering the front neon and cracking the bumber in half.

One of the techs at work has an '05 RSX-S, after he lowered it, he topped it out at 162 in sixth. He's a hell of a tech and knows his Honda tuning well.

I'm just waiting for the day I can convince my friend to let me take out his '04 Type S for a real test drive . My Accord maxes out at 115 with the restrictor...stupid governor... But I do believe his car will be much more fun... If I can get him to let me drive it out of the neighborhood that is
