Unhappy S-10 Blues

my s-10 has the 2.8L v6 with about no power and i was looking at swapping it out for the 350 but thats more power than i need, would the 302 or 305 work? and if so what would i need to do it, any suggestions would help.

not sure about the 302, but i know the 305 will, I have a 305 tpi in a 1991 2 wheel drive, if the block on the 302 is the same as a 305 it will work as well, but then again, anything will work, just depends on how much money you are willing to spend

A 305 and a 350 are the same size externally so either would fit with a V8 swap kit.
