Not sure which one to get the CXS or the CX!
I have been thinking about maybe getting a LaCrosse maybe in the next several months but not sure which one i would like the best... I did drive the CX...It did seem to take off a little slower than what i am use to (currently drive an 03Grand AM GT that takes off like a pocket rocket from a stop).. I want something with a nice smooth ride and quieter than my grandam, but not sure if the base supension will be to sloppy for my tastes...
I was thinking of getingt a base CX with cloth seats and then maybe putting on 17in wheels for ride and handling, not sure if i should just get the CXS package with all suspension upgrades...Is the ride that much of a difference between the CXS and CX?? Or is the 3.6 better than the 3.8? ALso, does the 3.6 have a lower gear ration for quicker takeoffs? I |

I test drove both the CXL and the CXS (wound up buying the CXS). If you are at all concerned with the ride being too "floaty", then you DEFINITELY want to go with the CXS. The CXS has a much tighter handling feel (although I still feel some noticeable body lean when cornering around anything over 40 -45 miles an hour). As far as the engines go, the 3.6 in the CXS is much more responsive off the line, the 3.8 in the CXL felt sluggish and a bit noisier as well. I'd say go with the CXS if handling and engine performance are key issues to you. Hope this helps. Rob |
