5% over 17% factory and non factory tint

ok so i had 17% tint all around my grand cherokee 4.7L v8 limited i had the front side windows 17% because it matched the back factory tinted windows. i am going to the tint shop this weekend to get a layer of 5% over the 17% al around is it possible to tint over the front side windows since they were factory tinted can u tint over them? if u understand wat i mean i kno u can tint over the factory tinted but the front is just plain auto tinted can u just tint 5% over that without any problems? any suggestions

Re: 5% over 17% factory and non factory tint

u can tint on top of the aftermarket tint thats on your front windows but it might void any warranty that the tint shop offers on their tint. I would just remove the old tint and put on the new 5% tint on the front windows

Re: 5% over 17% factory and non factory tint

it depends on the tint shop if they will charge u extra to take off the old tint, but most likely they will charge u extra. U can tint over the factory windows on the back becuz the factory tint is on the inside of the glass.
