99 plymouth breeze transmission

"So I have a 99 plymouth breeze expresso. On my way home from work the
other night I was slowing down (by taking my foot off the gas) to go
around a corner. As I slowed, my car jolted forward. It felt like when
your driving stick and you downshift too quickly and let the clutch out
to fast. I stopped and listened and watched for something else to happen
and it didnt so I drove on. Then as I was pulling into my driveway I
took my foot off the gas to slow down, and it did it again and my check
engine light came on. so I parked it and called my buddy who has one of
those computers to tell my why my check engine light was on. It told
him it was a Transmission Control System Malfunction. Either a
Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction or Gear 3 Incorrect Ratio.
So he cleared it and I let it sit over night. My dad then drove it and
couldnt get it to do anything like I had described. So I drove it 3 miles to
a mechanic and he told me that id be fine and to keep driving it. So i
drove it 15 miles and it did it again. This time in addition to what it
was doing before, when I put it in park and then shift it to drive it
shifts hard and jerks. Is there anything else you can think of that
might be wrong? like would changing my transmission fluid and filter help
or be causing this? Or would starting my car and driving it right away
when its really cold out do this? please help!"

Re: 99 plymouth breeze transmission

I had this problem with my 97 Breeze, and changing the tranny filter solved it.
