Re: MY LATEST WORK-on huge a2 sheet

thanks lol ,thats cool if you find it ugly i understand lol,its 20years old and was made by my favorite race car driver via his old personal performance centre known as hdt -holdent dealer team,it had a massive 24 piece bodykit and was $90 000 when new ,it was made by peter brock and it caused him alot of trouble with GM and he sold the business and this was the last car he made ,only 6-10 exist and he recently just died ,this car would be worth $300 000 + now as it is extremely rare, not everyones cup off tea though

Nice drawing of a rare masterpiece!
Another one of Brocky's 'plastic fantastic' collection. I don't mind it myself.

I wouldn't have the patience to draw anything as big as A2.
How long did it take you to get the proportions right?

Re: MY LATEST WORK-on huge a2 sheet

actually i prefer drawing on A2 now too.
At school its the smallest size we are allowed to work at ( portraits with hands at the moment ), so im used to it.

And my motogp drawings ( the CP ones, only had 2 so far ) are on 65x55 cm, which is like A2. Yeah its takes a lot more time (especially with color pencil) than A4, but you can add more detail ( if u like detail ) so its more fun ( for me at least ) .

this car is 300.000$ aud or usd? thats a lot.. no matter how rare it is.

Re: MY LATEST WORK-on huge a2 sheet

Wow it looks similar to those of canay. I think you must be very brave to go that big, I'm always loosing the feel for proportions when I'm drawing bigger than A4.

Isn't Peter Brock the driver who died recently? Although I must agree with the others that I think that this car is pretty ugly, it might be some kind of memorial for him. Did you draw it becuase he died or just for some other reason?

Wow, very well done artwork.

The "Land-down-Under" sure does produce some very interesting
4-door sedans.
Thanks for including the background info.

Re: MY LATEST WORK-on huge a2 sheet

hi thanks for the props

digitor-the proportions took a few hours to get right especially on the front side view for some reason,i actually enjoyed the a2 aswell

sieg-your right it is more fun on a2,sometimes when i draw on small sheets like a4 i tend to draw to big and i cant fit the picture lol so with the a2 this will never happen ,the cars worth so much because of 3 reasons ,1- it was his last car he made ,2 there arent many ,3-he is now dead

knightvision-your right peter brock just recently died,he was my main reason for liking cars growing up and is a big hero for me,i plan on drawing every single car he made when he owned his company -on a2 ,im working on the second one now,did you get my email????

blip -thankyou -we produced some nice musclecars back in the day ,if you see this car without the body kit you wouldnt recognise it lol,i realise its a bit extreme its one of those like it or hate it cars

Re: MY LATEST WORK-on huge a2 sheet

just an idea..maybe it would look really cool if you filled that background rectangle with black? ( just to try 1st in Photoshop to see if it looks good ) .. it would give some good contrast!
