1600 vs 510?
I know that this may sound dumb, but I've never really been sure what a Datsun 1600 is. Is it a Datsun roadster or is it a 510, or something else entirely. Because the 510 had a 1600cc motor, and I didn't think the roadster did, however; whenever I see the 1600 years it is like 66-70, but the 510 is 68-73. Please help.
Also does anyone know of any companies that make molded carpets for 510s, because my 510's carpet is thrashed. |

ok, so does that mean that a 1600 can be a 510 OR roadster, or is the 1600 a version of the 510?

the datsun 1600 is a roadster, there is also a datsun 2000 which is also a roadster, one with 1600cc motor and the other with 2000cc motor.

SR240Z, thanks you for the info. As to the question about where you buy Datsuns, I don't really know, if there is one really good place to buy them, I would suggest looking everywhere. eBay, AutoTrader, your local classifieds, etc.
There are some good 510 sites that have some classifieds, I think the Dime Quarterly does. |

In AUS and NZ, the 510 is known more as the 1600 because of the L16 engine that came with the car. It's Specifications depend on what part of the world you live and whehter or not you are referring to the roadster.
