no spark help

HI.... my brother has just bought a 93 impreza and what started as a simple battery and battery terminal change has turned into a disaster. He crossed his terminals and two wires burnt up

1. the fusible link
2. a wire that looked like a ground from the motor to the body

no the car has no spark and we have already replaced the coil pack and the spark plug and spark plug wires and last night i believe he replaced the cam shaft timing sensor...

does anyone have an idea what to do besides set the car on fire

i would have coil pack tested now since you shorted it out. another thing is the cps sensor may have shorted out? how long did you have battery crossed? it could be a number of things but i would first check the have coil pack tested.

Re: no spark help

sorry i should have stated it different

since the battery cables were crossed we changed the coil pack and the cam shaft sensor we were just attempting to take off the crankshaft sensor and the metal piece is disconeccted from the metal piece...

and the cables were not crossed long as soon as they touched there were sparks and the wires fried
