88c4 buttons on seats do what?

I have an 88 c4. There are buttons on driver and passanger seat. what do they do? Mine dont work.
The console operates the positions of the seats fine, but what could the other buttons be.
Both driver and passanger seats have 3 buttons and one switch on the left side of the seat and 3 buttons and one swithch on the right side of the seat.
What could I possibly need with 6 buttons and 2 switches in my seat?
John

Just a guess, but I would say they are for the
'lumbar '& 'bolster' controls on the sports seats.

They blow up air bladders in the seat back, and bring in seat sides closer to you for support.
