Gio, are you sure you don't want to strip the clear udercoat that Revell used under the chrome?

Re: Ping & Pong present: Two VERY Red Ferraris

There are better uses for alcohol, my friend!

Joking aside, I did find out by accident that denaturated spirit does strip that clear from Revell parts. Of course, so does DOT

Re: Ping & Pong present: Two VERY Red Ferraris

Revell dumpers don't deserve a shoot: really crappy stuff. I turned mine by brass.

This is the solution I found to have a bit of game that allow me to set-up better track width and height (an also camber) . (Note that I cut down the Revell wheel fixing)

All I need now is a bit of weathering on inner part of fenders to blend metal and plastic. Thanks for visit our red girls .

Great shocks, I cant imagine weathering those beauties but I bet you make them look even better then they are now.

Re: Ping & Pong present: Two VERY Red Ferraris

Nice springs! LOFL

Clever "cheat" on the wheel attachment, I wish you had thought of that earlier

The close-up on the weathering looks great IMO. Much more interetsing to look at than "squeaky clean"

Re: Ping & Pong present: Two VERY Red Ferraris

i've seen 1:1 cars that aren't built to this level of detail. of course, i live in a neighborhood where too many guys think a good build is slapping $5,000 worth of rims on a $1,500 car, but you get my point.

Wow, Gio,

fantastic scratchbuilding on the brakes, now these shocks - superb!!!

What a shame that they will disappear in the wheel-wells.
