2004 Hyundai sonata - $2500
Hi all. I need to purchase a used car and my budget is pretty tight at $2800. I am considering purchasing a 2004 Hyundai Sonata with 151,000 miles for $2500. It's a v6 2.7 I should probably mention. I think that's a pretty good deal but any input would be greatly appreciated as I don't know much about cars. From what little research I've gathered, Hyundais are generally reliable from about 2001 onwards. Of course I would have a mechanic look at the car first as well.

That seems like a pretty good deal, and they tend to be pretty reliable cars. You probably want to look into what usually has more problems, the V6 or the 4 cylinder. Most of them are 4 cylinders- is that because the V6 is unreliable or just coincidence? You should also have it checked out by someone who knows what they're doing before you commit to anything. If they object to you having a mechanic look things over, then stay away.

It`s a good deal! You should buy it if it doesn`t have mechanical problems
