a/c switch on dashboard

This is the first car I have owned that the a/c switch has two settings. The first setting lights the a/c switch up in a yellow/orange color. The second setting lights the a/c switch up in a green color.

What do the two seperate settings mean?

Right below that is also a fresh/recirc slider....In my vehicle history, the slider always controlled the "norm-fresh" and "max-recirc" a/c.

BTW......the a/c works fine, just curious on the seperate settings.

The green light is when the ac is on. The orange is just the light from the switch that lights up when you turn the lights on.

The slider changes whether the air is pulled from the outside or recirculated. Not sure what your asking about that.

Eh that's actually wrong. The A/C is a dual push switch. I haven't had A/C in over a year now so I don't remember but when you push on to green, it's constant on. I believe when you push again and it's yellow, that's where it keeps a certain temp so it's not on all the time. I may be off on that one and couldn't find it in a quick search. So green constant on, orange turns on and off.

That's right....the push switch is a dual switch. The first time you press it, it goes in half way and the little light on it turns yellow'ish. The second time you press it, it goes in all the way and the little light on it turns green.

There are no temp numbers on the "cold-blue hot-red" turn dial, which leads me to believe it doesnt have a "temp setting control" for a/c.

I had no idea this question would turn out to be .

Not a :bandhead: at all. That's how it is. Green is full blast, orange is a on/off setting. I don't know how exactly it works, but IIRC, the light will actually turn off or goto green after a while of the A/C being on.

And as long as the temperature knob is in the blue and the A/C is on... it'll blow cold.

Re: a/c switch on dashboard

WTF??? My AC is either on or off. When the button is pushed its on and when the button is out its off. I have no idea about this dual switch shit, never even heard of it.
