Re: 1991 b250 no spark no fuel
Fuses in fuse box are all fine. Are there fuses anywhere else?

Hmm, not sure about a 91, but later years I know have an additional fuse/relay box under the hood. Take a look and see if you have one.

Re: 1991 b250 no spark no fuel
I just went and did some poking around in the electrical schematic for your van. I see that if if ASD relay is not working or if the fusible link that feeds it is blown, then you will not get power to either the ignition or the fuel pump.

Do you know where they are located? Thanks for all your help so far.

Re: 1991 b250 no spark no fuel
According to the book I have, it says that 93 and later has the fuse/relay box under the hood. Prior to 93 there is no box and that the fusible links are located along the firewall near the brake booster.
Here's a quick test for you to run. Look on your carb for the two throttle body injector connectors. One has a tan wire and dark green wire with a black tracer. The other has a white wire and dark green wire with a black tracer. Pull either one of the connectors off and connect a test light (or meter) to the dark green with black tracer wire. Now turn your ignition to the run position. If you don't get any power you've pretty much confirmed the ASD relay is not working or it's fusible link is blown, because this wire you have the test light on comes directly off of the secondary side of the ASD relay. |

there should be on passenger side you should see about 3 screws in black cover..it's pretty long plastic cover...and they are big fuses also they look like the little fuses but way bigger...also check on passenger side in car by your feet it's hidden to by a black or ?? cover like i say by your feet...good luck...

Re: 1991 b250 no spark no fuel
Does anyone have picture of the asd relay? I did the check as described above and had no power to the injectors. My wires go into a loom of wires. Also fusible link. I don't know where or how to find that?

Re: 1991 b250 no spark no fuel
The fusible links are around the back of the brake booster.
The relay is a 1" cube (about). It should have 4 wires going to it, one dark blue, one dark blue with yellow, one red, and one dark green with black. If I recall correctly, for late 80s and early 90s it's mounted on the firewall, but I'm not positive. |

Re: 1991 b250 no spark no fuel
I replaced the fusible link directly after the auto shutdown relay but still have no spark and no fuel. Any other ideas?

Re: 1991 b250 no spark no fuel
Did you first check to see if the ASD relay is working?
As I said in an earlier post, if you don't get any power to the injectors the ASD relay is not working OR it's fusible link is blown. If you were getting +12 volts to the relay there was no need to change the fusible link. |

Re: 1991 b250 no spark no fuel
The asd relay was tested as good. The fusible link behind the brake booster was melted (white wire) I replaced that but still no spark or fuel.

Re: 1991 b250 no spark no fuel
Are you getting +12 volts to the ASD relay socket and does the relay click on when you turn the key on?
