1997 Acura CL 2.2 EGR Valve Sensor bad

Does the EGR Valve sensor affect gas mileage. I have been getting poor gas mileage. Replaced plugs, distrubitor cap and wires.

Do a Decarb on the throttle body. Those engines love to build up with carbon. If that doesn't do it. see if your getting any lights on the dash. If so, and your miliage is still good, a new EGR might still be under warrenty. Check your dealer.

How do you decarb the throttle body. My 97' is idling terribly and has no check engine. It typically varies from 1000-2500 rpm when it is cold.
