Me and my cousin... a 78 Nova, bought two engines from the junk yard... 350 small block v8's. Tore both of them completely down to the block myself. Chose the one that was in better shape, had it bored over to 355 and re-dipped/polished/painted. First ran high compression on 104 octane fuel, then rebuilt again and no running with a 1071 WEIAND blower and dual 4-barrel carbs. 30" rear tires, tubbed out in the rear with all custom aluminum done in house! Custom roll cage, cheetah shifter, all the necessar stuff. Basically a street legal drag car that will beat anything you'll ever own!

Re: So the XXX came in a lot earlier than expected...

Fuck that threed.........bitch....... And Iwannnasaleen guy wattage has nothing to do with how loud you are or how much your car vibrates. For instance I do a 140.03 outlaw on the TL with around about 300 watts....... I'm sure in some people's installs they can do that with 100 watts........ a lot of people who don't know what their doing may need over 2kw to get a 140. Its all in the install. What are u goin for SQ, SQL, or just straight spl?

very nice are you going for pulleys? one of my friends was telling me they do wonders for sentra's atleast for Se-R models.

with a 2200+ rms system? that's a strong "no"

I've pretty much given up performance mods on this car. If I were to actually care about performance again I would just drop the NA mods and do a simple t3/04 and bb/gti-r det turbo manifold, along with the rest that goes with it (fuel, flywheel, clutch, cams, cryo-treated gears, etc). Without a new bottom end the engine can support ~350whp (the tranny is the weak link), but even with all that work it's still fwd and would only run mid 11's on a good day with slicks, so I'm going to wait until I get out of college and get a "real" car.

Re: So the XXX came in a lot earlier than expected...

do you mean the 240 or silvia?
there never was an s15 240 so I guess you're talking about the silvia. I would love one, but it would cost so much to import it that it really wouldn't be worth it. An s14 240 on the other hand would be very nice with an sr20det, rb25det or rb26dett swap, though it doesn't quite look as nice as the s15 IMO.

I considered getting an s14 240 for a project car, but decided against it. I should be making enough as an EE when I get out of college in a little over a year to afford a DD that can serve as my project car at the same time, the STi is calling my name pretty badly.

Bah STI;s are for wanabe JDM'ers Im talking about the Real deal Silvia. You's be suprised how much and S15 really is to import. There just hyped alot of poeple think S15's can run as much as R34's as far as price and legality and thats not the case at all. S15's spec R or C can run 11k used and conversion is like 7-13 Im pretty sure. In the end the sti will be WAY more money.
