Which Gasoline In J30?

Dear all:

Have any one tried filling regular fuel in J30 instead of Premium fuel?

Any side effects in short/long run for using regular unleaded fuel?

Bobby.

I haven't myself. You will run the risk of knocking because of the high compression ratio of the engine. I doubt gas mileage will suffer, but perfermance probably will as the ECU will retard the timing to compensate for the early combustion caused by running the lower octane fuel. In addition, you may run the risk of fouling the injectors - and those are expensive to replace.

Well it because the gas has mix you have to empty the tank full and the lines then put just regular and you will see a differents because it loses it power so if you put super then regular like your doing your mixing gas and well now it half good and have weak

Re: Which Gasoline In J30?

if u plan on keeping your J long term, the best thing to do with gas is never put more or less than what the manufacturer recommends. The knock sensor will adjust the timing w/lower grade, so most likely you will not hear a knock, but it does lower performance and mileage in most cases.

Shell V Power makes a difference

Started using V Power premium with Shell and it really makes a difference in smooth acceleration.
