where to buy new car
I've decided to buy a new car. I live in Illinois but am soon moving out of state. Does it make sense to buy the new car in another state to save money on sales tax? Illinois has a very high sales tax rate. What states are known to be good ones for buying cars in? Any advice is much appreciated.

You will pay the sales tax on a new car (or used one) where you register it for the first time. Unless you are going to register it in a state with no sales tax (montana maybe?), it doesnt matter what state you buy it in.
