Lad motorsport 205
I have a 1.6 gti and am looking at getting a 1.9 is it worth getting one prepared by Lad motorsport? I have heard mixed reports about them. is there that much difference with the claimed extra 30 bhp?
Any ideas anyone?? |

LAD motorsport is a rip off.I have a 205 with a gti6 306 engine in it all done by me.I bought 2 of these 2ltr 16v engines,1 with a LAD head on it.It gave me bother so i stripped it only to find a really bad porting job.all bronze valve guides had been hit and 1 needed replaced. This was result of 1000pounds work in LAD. NICE!!!! Be better off puttin a standard 1.9 in yourself.straight swap, dead easy.

205 gti
These are incorrect. I own a 205 gti prepared by lad which gives out 161 bhp on the rollers, i also own a 306 gti-6 which has been modded by them. The work done is good as i am an engineer and i have seen the ports and valve guides. Perhaps you should enquire wether this work has definately been done by lad. They are very good.
