laguna heater - no hot air!
Hi everbody!
Recently bought my Laguna Rt 1996 1.8, and just found that the heater is not throwing out any hot air - only very lukewarm. Hoping that the heater matrix is not totally blocked as it seems to be an expensive fix for a new one. All the controls / etc seem to be working - just no 'hot' air. I want to remove the pipes that go into the heater matrix through the bulkhead, so that I can try flushing the system, but they won't budge. Is a special tool required, or just brute force?! Don't want to break anything! Any suggestions / tips? Justinb. |

Re: laguna heater - no hot air!
I found it very hard to remove those pipes, but once off they never went back on properly (they never clicked into place but they don't leak or anything)
If you got aircon, then you have to strip the dash to get to the matrix, as well as having to discharge the aircon and then regas it afterwards. If there is no air con, then the matrix can be fitted without having to remove the dash....very common problem on these the lack of hot air contributed to blocked matrix. You need to bend that little thing by the blue clip and free it then give it a good tug to release the pipes. |
