stalls until warmed up........
ok, got water leak fixed, and have had this problem stalling until warm up for a while.
when i 1st start it, it runs a few seconds then dies. start again and idles rough, finally idle smooths out, but if i try to drive it until warmed up good, it backfires through engine. once warmed up it runs good. i havent done anything yet but inspect hoses etc... for leaks. sounds like a lean fuel problem or ??? |

Re: stalls until warmed up........
im sorta having the same problem u r having. im also trying to figure out what the hell is going on. so the iac wasnt your problem then huh. wow that was going to be the next thing i was going to try man. then i was going to try new plugs and wires. i really hope someone comes up with a new answer for the problem because i cant stop thinking about this problem. when i start my car after it sits awhile it will idle reall rough sometimes even stall on the first try but not always. then if i try and pull out its verrrrrry sluggish!! almost like its injecters are clocked up or something. i dunno but lets keep in touch and hopefully someone can help us bro

Re: stalls until warmed up........
i still need help ! thought i had the overheating problem fixed but no. Evidently whatever the cause was what blowed the hose under the intake.
still stalls and backfires until warmed up good. replaced thermostat, water pump is sucking down in resovoir good. no coolant leaks i can see. could it be plugged catalyst converters ? what about the egr on this car ? 1993 4.6 |
