Re: How many miles do you have your Isuzu?
93,000 mi and it has never seen a repair even after it was stolen and had the front end wraped around an oak tree! very reliable love the V6 power, just wish I bought a 4WD.

Re: How many miles do you have your Isuzu?
Year: 1999 4WD
Engine: 6 cyl Mileage: 99858 Any major problems: I've only had it a few months and so far the only issue I've had is replacing the #@*&%# starter this afternoon and the serpetine belt. Other than having to add about a quart of oil every 500 miles or so, she's running like a champ! |

Re: How many miles do you have your Isuzu?
Update on my two 1999 Rodeos.
Rodeo 1 1999 4cyl. 5spd. Hit a deer in July 06 rebuilt between July 06 and May 07 came back up to a rebuilt title. Now has 130,000 on it and is getting a new Head gasket and head pressure check as well as new piston rings and bearings. Rodeo 2 1999 6cyl. 5spd. Spun #1 rod bearing so bad that I had to buy a new crank from autozone. had to buy new engine bearings from a place on the web out of LA because the crank was at .30 over standard size. New rings, one new rod, every wear part is getting replaced and if you have a 4x4 rodeo and the engine needs to come out the transmission is coming out as well so plan for expensive pulling if you dont do it yourself. If you need parts for an Isuzu or for that matter other makes visit ricart.com and search for the parts on the parts page. They are 20% off the shelf dealership prices.

Re: How many miles do you have your Isuzu?
2008 update:
172,000 miles V6 auto (original!) 4X2 Latest maintenance - power steering fluid swap. Continuing with oil changes every 3K and tranny fluid swaps every 15K. '07 saw some work: Changed front brake pads Broke/fixed the roof rack again this summer Fixed 2 power windows (one regulator, glued glass mounting clips on the other) Replaced the oil cooler o-ring Changed the gear selector switch seal Swapped the rear cam tower seals It continues to be the daughter's daily at school and it did not strand her at all during the first semester. It took us from FL to New Hampshire and back this summer. Looks like it'll take 2 more years to get it to 200K.

Re: How many miles do you have your Isuzu?
Here is the format to use:
Year: 95 Engine: V-6 Mileage: 144K Any major problems Only one in past, starter solenoid contacts which I replaced by taking bolts from starter rotating it 90 degrees, opening it up and replacing contacts. This week at the end of a 1700 mile trip I noticed a noise that sounds like a A/C compressor, but makes sound when A/C off. Noise is constant under load or no load and increases linear with engine speed. Engine does not miss, no loss of power and no blow by when you remove oil cap. |

Re: How many miles do you have your Isuzu?
Year: 2000 4WD
Engine: 6 cyl (I think? I dont even know) LS Mileage: 175000 Any major problems: * fuel gauge doesnt work at all * check engine light always on * interior lights go off when back gate wings open (annoying) * transmission cold slip issues I'm trying to figure out. * guzzles oil like crazy * ABS lights been on 2 years all that being said I love this truck, it suits my needs for a dog-friendly vehicle (the new VW EOS I bought is not dog-friendly) and want to roll with it until the wheels come off, but I'm afraid its going down a slippery slope right now.
