Re: new decks with usb/bluetooth

You can pair anything that is bluetooth compatible with the deck, provided that what you're pairing it with can perform the same functions. As for the USB, you can hook up and external HDD and use that to store all your music.

You should be able to. You can also use a flashdrive to store music on.

No shit? I've got a healthy 80 gigs of music I wouldn't mind having with me all the time... Maybe it's time I upgrade the radio in the Cobalt. lol... Is this USB offered on most head units or only select few?

Re: new decks with usb/bluetooth

My brother has a new kenwood unit with usb input. We use a flashdrive. Super nice feature to have. Im going to buy a new head unit for my civic just so I can have the usb input.

Oh yea. My buddy has a new high end pioneer. Its a double din dvd. It also has usb input along with SD card drive.

Re: new decks with usb/bluetooth

Some of the higher end Alpines have them also. The only thing is that you can't have a HD that's powered through the USB cord, the HU doesn't have enough power, it's gotta be plugged into a power outlet.

No you cannot play music through blue tooth. I have a kenwood and i can only talk on the phone through it. I tried to play music and i just was not happening.
