Ignition problem
I am getting ready to buy this 92 Legend. I have done all the maint. to it at the shop I work at. Its a good car but the igition started acting goofy. So she decided to sell it. When you turn the key to accessory it cranks and keeps cranking. I have never dealt with Acura ignitions . Is it a normal cylinder or electronicly controlled? Is this a common problem. Whats your advice?

Re: Ignition problem
i don't think legends ever had electronic controlled ignition switches. my guess would be a faulty ignition switch w/ the contact getting stuck on start. this wouldn't be normal for a regular ignition system. i would check out the ignition switch or the ignition lock.

I havent had a chance to pull the lock cylinder but Im guessing that the ignition switch is bad. I have called parts stores to price this switch and its not available. Salvage yards dont see legends that often in my area so I will try the dealer. Im guessing that it will be expesive so I may just add a starter button.
