1997, 88 LS 3.8 upper intake manifold (plenum).
My 88 only has 60K on it as I ride my motorcycle much more which is a 02 with over 83K on it. After some research on the net I have found out that the upper intake has been a problem on many GM cars from 1995 to 2005 with 3.8 and I need to replace my intake manifold piece of plastic junk. I have no problem replacing it but after doing some checking there seems to be many different ones out there from $60 to $130. I only want to do this once and is one brand better then another? I rather pay for quality and hopefully made in the USA. Are the really cheap ones on eBay any good? I know many times you get what you pay for but I have all so found sometimes you pay too much.
Thanks! |

None but GM oe's are US ( maybe) made, the Dorman manifold has worked out wel from feed back on the forum, plus I have done a couple myself. about 130, from any local parts house.
