1995 Toyota Avalon won't defrost
My Avalon won't defrost and it smells like antifreeze inside. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: 1995 Toyota Avalon won't defrost
I think the coolant itself is what is fogging up your windows and defrost won't get rid of it. If you try to wipe it away and it just smears around, it's coolant. Do you get hot air from the defrost vent?
You have a coolant leak in your heater core causing the coolant to condense on your windows, leaving a fog that is difficult to remove. Glass cleaner helps but it will still take some work. If you plan on having it replaced by someone other than yourself, prepare for a significant labor charge as it is typically difficult to get to and replace under the dash. Good luck!
